The Ethnic Geography Specialty Group (EGSG) Distinguished Early Career Award for Scholarship, Teaching, and Service celebrates colleagues’ outstanding work as they traverse their tenure-track early career years into their mid-career years. Nominations for this award are open to EGSG members who are within approximately 12 years of earning their PhD (or equivalent) terminal degree and are actively involved in EGSG activities. The EGSG Awards Committee is responsible for selecting the recipient and will make its selection based on reviews of the nominee’s CV and letter of nomination that contains an evaluation of the accomplishments of the nominee that justify the award.
